What Does Participation Look Like?
In the AWARE study, your doctor will treat your ADHD in clinic, with medications prescribed to your local pharmacy. The study will look at the order in which different ADHD medications are tried; the first and second choice of medication class will be randomized through the study. Participants will check in with their clinical team every 2 weeks, and complete surveys to track symptoms and any side effects.
Participation in the AWARE study includes:
Being randomized to an ADHD stimulant.
Consistently taking the medication as prescribed.
Meeting with the clinic team every 2 weeks for up to 9 study visits over 16 weeks (most visits can be done remotely).
The child’s caregiver completing questionnaires.
